Introducing Wedding Photography at Jack&Joe Films: Meet Lucy
We’ve got some exciting news to share at Jack&Joe Films — we’re expanding our team and are now offering wedding photography alongside our cinematic wedding videography.
Joining Jack and Joe is Lucy, our new wedding photographer. Lucy will be working closely alongside us to capture your wedding day through beautiful, natural photography, giving couples the option to have their memories preserved through both photographs and film.
And honestly, we couldn’t be more excited about it.
Why Choose Wedding Photography & Videography?
Your wedding day happens once. While we’re big believers that your wedding film allows you to relive the sounds, movement and emotions of the day, photography gives you something equally special — beautiful, tangible moments that you can see, share and treasure forever.
A photograph can capture the look on your partner’s face as you walk down the aisle, the reactions of your parents during the speeches, the chaos on the dance floor or a quiet moment between the two of you that you might otherwise have missed.
A film brings those moments to life.
Together, photography and videography tell the complete story of your wedding day.
One Team. Two Ways of Telling Your Story.
One of the biggest benefits of booking your wedding photographer and videographer as a team is that we already know how to work together.
Rather than hiring separate suppliers who have never worked together before, Lucy, Jack and Joe can coordinate throughout the day to make sure we're all in the right place at the right time — without getting in the way of your wedding.
We can communicate with each other throughout the day, work around each other's shots and make sure we're capturing the important moments from different perspectives.
Most importantly, you don't have to worry about managing another supplier.
From the moment you book, you'll have one team to communicate with, one shared approach to your wedding and a group of creatives working towards the same goal: capturing your day beautifully.
More Than Just the Big Moments
Of course, we'll be there for the moments you'd expect — the ceremony, confetti, group photographs, speeches, first dance and celebrations.
But it's often the smaller moments that become some of your favourite memories.
The nervous excitement while getting ready.
Your best friend making you laugh before the ceremony.
Your parents watching you walk down the aisle.
A quick glance between you and your partner during the speeches.
The grandparents dancing.
The friends who haven't seen each other for years finally reunited.
The completely unplanned moments that happen when nobody is looking.
That's where having both photography and film becomes really special.
Lucy can capture those fleeting moments as photographs, while Jack and Joe can preserve the movement, sound and emotion through film.
Meet Lucy
We're delighted to welcome Lucy to the Jack&Joe Films team.
As our wedding photographer, Lucy shares our approach to capturing weddings naturally and authentically. Rather than turning your wedding day into a photoshoot, the aim is to create photographs that feel like you — capturing genuine interactions, emotions and moments as they happen.
She'll be working alongside Jack and Joe throughout the day, becoming part of the wider Jack&Joe team rather than operating as a separate photographer.
We're really excited about what this means for our couples and can't wait to start creating some incredible wedding photography and films together.
5 Emotional Wedding Moments You’ll Regret Not Capturing on Video
5 Emotional Wedding Moments You’ll Regret Not Capturing on Video
Introduction: The Importance of Preserving Memories Beyond Photos
Your wedding day is a whirlwind of emotions, love, and once-in-a-lifetime moments. While photos are incredible for freezing specific points in time, video brings those moments to life, capturing the sounds, movement, and raw emotions in a way that photos simply can’t. At Jack & Joe Films, we specialise in creating cinematic wedding films that let you relive these cherished moments forever. Based in Kent, we’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is to have your wedding memories preserved on video. Here are five emotional moments you’ll regret not capturing if you skip a videographer.
1. The First Look
There’s nothing quite like the raw emotion of seeing your partner for the first time on your wedding day. Whether it’s a private moment before the ceremony or the traditional walk down the aisle, the first look is filled with anticipation, joy, and often happy tears. With video, we can capture the way your partner’s face lights up, the nervous laughter, and the heartfelt reactions that photos alone can’t convey. It’s a moment that deserves to be relived in motion.
2. The Vows
Your vows are the heart of your wedding day – the promises you make to each other, spoken from the heart. While photos can capture the setting, only video can preserve the tremble in your voice, the laughter at inside jokes, and the tears of joy as you exchange these words. At Jack & Joe Films, we use discreet audio equipment to ensure every heartfelt word is captured perfectly, creating a timeless keepsake of your love story.
3. The First Dance
Your first dance is more than just a tradition; it’s a cinematic moment of connection. The music, the lighting, the swaying of your movements – all of it combines to tell a story of intimacy and joy. Our cinematic approach ensures that this moment feels like a scene from a movie, beautifully lit and expertly filmed to highlight your unique connection.
4. Family Toasts
The speeches and toasts at your wedding are a treasure trove of genuine emotions and heartfelt words. Whether it’s your dad’s touching tribute, your best friend’s hilarious anecdotes, or your sibling’s heartfelt memories, these moments are unrepeatable. With video, you can revisit the laughter and tears whenever you want, keeping those emotional memories alive for years to come.
5. Candid Guest Reactions
Your wedding day is not only about you as a couple but also about the people who come together to celebrate your love. The spontaneous laughter, joyful tears, and heartfelt hugs are moments you might miss in the moment but will treasure forever. Our team at Jack & Joe Films captures these candid reactions, weaving them into your wedding film to tell the full story of your day.
