Introducing Wedding Photography at Jack&Joe Films: Meet Lucy

We’ve got some exciting news to share at Jack&Joe Films — we’re expanding our team and are now offering wedding photography alongside our cinematic wedding videography.

Joining Jack and Joe is Lucy, our new wedding photographer. Lucy will be working closely alongside us to capture your wedding day through beautiful, natural photography, giving couples the option to have their memories preserved through both photographs and film.

And honestly, we couldn’t be more excited about it.

Why Choose Wedding Photography & Videography?

Your wedding day happens once. While we’re big believers that your wedding film allows you to relive the sounds, movement and emotions of the day, photography gives you something equally special — beautiful, tangible moments that you can see, share and treasure forever.

A photograph can capture the look on your partner’s face as you walk down the aisle, the reactions of your parents during the speeches, the chaos on the dance floor or a quiet moment between the two of you that you might otherwise have missed.

A film brings those moments to life.

Together, photography and videography tell the complete story of your wedding day.

One Team. Two Ways of Telling Your Story.

One of the biggest benefits of booking your wedding photographer and videographer as a team is that we already know how to work together.

Rather than hiring separate suppliers who have never worked together before, Lucy, Jack and Joe can coordinate throughout the day to make sure we're all in the right place at the right time — without getting in the way of your wedding.

We can communicate with each other throughout the day, work around each other's shots and make sure we're capturing the important moments from different perspectives.

Most importantly, you don't have to worry about managing another supplier.

From the moment you book, you'll have one team to communicate with, one shared approach to your wedding and a group of creatives working towards the same goal: capturing your day beautifully.

More Than Just the Big Moments

Of course, we'll be there for the moments you'd expect — the ceremony, confetti, group photographs, speeches, first dance and celebrations.

But it's often the smaller moments that become some of your favourite memories.

The nervous excitement while getting ready.

Your best friend making you laugh before the ceremony.

Your parents watching you walk down the aisle.

A quick glance between you and your partner during the speeches.

The grandparents dancing.

The friends who haven't seen each other for years finally reunited.

The completely unplanned moments that happen when nobody is looking.

That's where having both photography and film becomes really special.

Lucy can capture those fleeting moments as photographs, while Jack and Joe can preserve the movement, sound and emotion through film.

Meet Lucy

We're delighted to welcome Lucy to the Jack&Joe Films team.

As our wedding photographer, Lucy shares our approach to capturing weddings naturally and authentically. Rather than turning your wedding day into a photoshoot, the aim is to create photographs that feel like you — capturing genuine interactions, emotions and moments as they happen.

She'll be working alongside Jack and Joe throughout the day, becoming part of the wider Jack&Joe team rather than operating as a separate photographer.

We're really excited about what this means for our couples and can't wait to start creating some incredible wedding photography and films together.

Tom and Fin’s Wedding at The Ferry House Inn, Kent

Tom & Fins Wedding | The Ferry House Inn | 19th October 2024

Some weddings stay with you long after the final edit, and Tom and Fin’s special day at The Ferry House Inn in Kent is one we’ll always cherish. From their heartfelt ceremony at St. Thomas Church to the scenic beauty of their reception venue, every detail came together to create a wedding filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

The Morning Preparations

Our day began with Tom and Fin’s preparations. As we arrived, the excitement in the air was palpable. Fin was surrounded by her closest friends and family, including their young daughter, who added an extra layer of sweetness to the morning. Meanwhile, Tom and his groomsmen were getting ready nearby, sharing jokes and calming any pre-wedding nerves. Capturing these intimate moments of anticipation is always a privilege, and their genuine love for each other shone through in every frame.

The Ceremony at St. Thomas Church

The couple’s ceremony took place at the charming St. Thomas Church, just a short distance from The Ferry House Inn. The church’s timeless beauty set the perfect stage for Tom and Fin to exchange their vows. As their daughter watched on, the couple’s heartfelt promises brought tears to many eyes, and we made sure to capture every emotion. The warmth of the congregation and the love surrounding the couple created a truly magical atmosphere.

A Stunning Reception at The Ferry House Inn

Following the ceremony, the celebration moved to The Ferry House Inn, a breathtaking venue set in the heart of the Kent countryside. Nestled on the river, the inn boasts spectacular views, beautifully landscaped gardens, and a rustic barn that perfectly complements its idyllic surroundings. The venue’s terraces offered the ideal backdrop for candid shots of guests mingling and enjoying the day.

Inside the barn, the decor was a reflection of Tom and Fin’s style: elegant yet warm and inviting. The speeches were a highlight of the evening, with laughter and tears shared among all. Watching Tom and Fin share a dance with their daughter was one of the most touching moments of the day, and we were thrilled to preserve it for them.

Capturing the Heartfelt Moments

Throughout the day, we focused on documenting the connection between Tom, Fin, and their daughter. From quiet glances during the ceremony to playful moments in the gardens, their love as a family was the heartbeat of the wedding. These candid moments, paired with the stunning backdrop of The Ferry House Inn, made for a truly cinematic wedding film.

Why We Love The Ferry House Inn

The Ferry House Inn is a dream venue for any couple looking for a blend of countryside charm and riverside beauty. Its versatile spaces—from the landscaped gardens to the rustic barn—offer endless opportunities for stunning videography. The combination of spectacular views, warm hospitality, and the Kentish countryside makes it a top choice for weddings.
